Please Note UPS Ground Delivers Tuesday-Friday


Sorry we only ship in the Continental United States.

Our shipping weight includes the box, packing and iced gel packs, no extra fees for packing!

Shipping Info- Please Note Ground Orders will take 1 to 2 days to Arrive. All Ground orders are guaranteed by the end of the day. Next Day Air Saver is guaranteed by end of day to residential home (Or Home Based Business) Next Day Air Saver Is Guaranteed by 3 pm to a commercial business address.
Next Day Air is guaranteed By 10:30 AM to most locations. Some remote locations are by 12:00 PM. Extremely remote shipping locations are by end of day.
Around holidays UPS allows for a 90 minute delay in all guaranteed delivery times

In order to insure the quality and freshness of our seafood, the cut-off time for orders placed over the internet FOR OVERNIGHT DELIVERY is 4:00 pm EST Monday thru Friday. This will ensure next day delivery. All internet orders placed after 4:00 pm or on Friday will be shipped the next business day.

 There is NO Sunday Delivery. Saturday Delivery Is Not Available To All Locations. 

For TWO DAY SHIPPING, ORDERS MUST BE PLACED MONDAY - WEDNESDAY by 4:00 pm, to ensure delivery by Friday. 2 Day Air shipping must be used for Saturday Deliveries. No Ground Deliveries For Saturday. 

If you desire a specific date for delivery or have other special instructions (Need a Birthday/Anniversary Card or Note put in the box), please put that information in the "Special Delivery Date Needed or other Instructions" during your checkout.


All seafood is perishable and is shipped UPS. Your order will come in a D.O.T. approved styrofoam shipping cooler, complete with gel packs or dry ice to keep your seafood cold. (Be careful handling dry ice.)   On occasion, additional insulation is used inside to protect your order. 

All our shipments are packed with ample refrigerant (frozen gel packs) to maintain the product in average weather conditions for the shipping period (estimated conservatively to allow for some extra time).  It is recommended that someone be available to receive shipments from Mid-Atlantic Crab Co. upon delivery or shortly thereafter.  If you are sending a gift to someone, please notify them when to expect delivery.  If no one is available, and the package is left unattended for an extended period (especially in hot climates), we cannot guarantee that the seafood will remain in good condition.


    If no one is available at time of delivery, package will be left with no signature required, unless otherwise specified.

    At this time we are only shipping to the lower 48 United States.  

Mid-Atlantic Crabs's primary shipping method on most orders is through UPS Overnight or 2 day. All orders are charged UPS shipping rates. Any changes to tax or shipping and handling charges, if necessary, will be provided in a separate communication along with the reason for the change. Deliveries delayed by carriers due to inclement weather must be accepted by purchaser at next available delivery date as long as its within 48 hours from original delivery date.

All live crabs must be shipped overnight to ensure freshness.

Live Crab Disclaimer:

We do our very best to fill live orders with the liveliest crabs available. Normal mortality rates should not exceed 15% of the total order. Dead loss is expected and we cannot be liable for mortality due to circumstances that are out of our control, such as; shipping environment due to extreme weather, rough handling, or delayed delivery by the shipper. However if you insist on live Crabs, please note that we provide no guarantees on the number of Crabs that will arrive to your doorstep alive. Their condition upon arrival is not guaranteed. No one in our industry will guarantee this.

Upon receipt of your order it is recommend that you unpack the contents as soon as possible and store the seafood in the refrigerator or freezer, as appropriate, to maintain optimum freshness. Your shipping cooler(s) is NOTsuitable for storing your seafood after receipt.


Due to ever changing weather and supply conditions out of our control, occasionally an item will become unavailable after an order is placed.  Should that happen we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss substituting another item of equal or greater value, or changing the delivery timing.

Return and Refund Policy

Mid-Atlantic Crab Co. strives to ship the absolute freshest seafood available anywhere. Every item we sell is carefully inspected before it is packaged and shipped. When your order leaves our facility, it is packed with more than enough refrigerant (gel packs) to prevent spoilage. If our seafood arrives damaged, please contact us immediately. If your order is spoiled or damaged due to negligence by Mid-Atlantic Crab Co., we will replace it free-of-charge. All concerns must be received within 48 hours of delivery.

If you receive an order that you suspect is spoiled or damaged contact us immediately and please Do Not Discard any suspected spoiled or damaged products until a representative from Mid-Atlantic Crab Co. is contacted. We may request that you return them to us for inspection.

Since Mid-Atlantic Crab Co. offers nearly all perishable products, shipping ALL our seafood in the freshest condition takes thought and careful planning. We use our own fresh gel pack system that keeps perishables cool in transit for up to 48 hours. We take care to arrange your seafood in specialized boxes designed to keep your order in the freshest possible condition upon arrival. We are dedicated to providing you with the freshest hard shell crabs and seafood on the web, therefore, if you have any questions about our Return and Refund Policy, please feel free to contact us.
